Position summary

Children International is seeking a proven professional to work hand in hand with our marketing leadership team in a newly developed position supporting Marketing Operations as a Marketing Operations Analyst. We believe that the dramatic growth of our mission can only happen through people, and this role serves in a key capacity to maximize our fundraising effectiveness.

In this influential position, you will discover that we address global poverty at the root cause level by working directly with children and youth around the world. We believe that children and youth are the single best answer to breaking the cycle of poverty, especially generational poverty. Our approach is far more than poverty alleviation. We focus on developing and delivering programs based on four pillars: health, education, empowerment and employment. This holistic approach, delivered in community centers around the world by an amazing team, really works.

Today, Children International directly invests in more than 260,000 children and youth in 10 countries around the world. In addition, about 1,400 mission-driven employees around the world and about 8,000 volunteers help our kids overcome poverty. The person we are seeking as our Marketing Operations Analyst will help grow the base of constituents and optimize the effectiveness of programs we execute so we can deliver on our goal of directly serving 1 million children and youth by 2025.

Responsibilities

The Marketing Operations Analyst will be responsible for assisting the Director, Marketing Operations in building an operations team within the Marketing & Engagement organization that enables an outcome driven approach to implementing progressive marketing strategies. We are looking for an extraordinary individual with a proven track record of using analytics, insight and a problem-solving orientation to provide recommendations and support marketing business leaders.

Specific responsibilities include
Campaign Analytics
  • Work with marketing staff to develop and implement campaign strategy
  • Analyze, track and report data and insights from marketing campaigns including email, direct mail and digital
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
  • Support marketing team in lead and lifecycle management
  • Partner with marketing teams to design survey instruments and research that drives insight around donor preferences
  • Work within all measurement platforms including Google Analytics, Sprout Social, User Testing, etc., to support outcome-driven approach to marketing efforts
  • Partner with Constituent Understanding & Insights group to define data, tools and analysis needed to support marketing efforts
  • Track and report on ROI analysis of marketing programs
  • Benchmark data and track industry trends for nonprofit/fundraising organizations
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional associations
Marketing Operations
  • Support director, Marketing Operations in development of technology roadmap to successfully implement marketing strategy
  • Assist in training on technical platforms
  • Assist with administration of technical platforms (CRM/Exact Target, CMS, Attribution, etc.)
  • Assist with ad hoc support issues
  • Perform discovery, find solutions and drive processes
Lean Process Support
  • Assist team in the development of experiments and test plans to achieve desired outcomes
  • Work with Director, Marketing Operations to create and manage lean experiment roadmap
  • Participate in daily stand ups to report out activity related to lean experiments 
Requirements
  • Proven market research analysis experience
  • Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Google suite of tools including Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Optimize and AdWords—including set up and validation
  • Social platform reporting and campaign set-up, i.e. FB Custom Audiences
  • Experience setting up and executing test plans
  • Experience with data visualization tools—Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • Familiarity with CRM programs
  • Adequate knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys etc.)
  • Working knowledge of data warehousing, modeling and mining
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking
  • BS degree in Statistics, Marketing or related field
