Our early childhood education program continues to be a triumph at our newest agency in Delhi, India. Trained teachers and assistants instruct children ages 3 to 5 in basic language and math skills at five centers throughout the community. Children also receive a free lunch each day.
It was a stellar season for our three CI Warrior football teams! The Pee Wee Team went 4-5; the Junior Team went 5-4; and our Senior Team went 6-3. All three made it to the play-offs. Organized sports, such as football, provide a positive activity for children and youth that teaches teamwork and perseverance, as well as builds confidence.
Academic success requires the right tools – but these supplies are often too expensive for sponsored children and their families. Fortunately, school-aged Zambian children were given the pencils, pens and other school supplies they need to be successful in the classroom.
Sponsored children under 12 are screened for malnutrition during their annual medical checkup. We enroll kids diagnosed with moderate to severe malnutrition in our feeding program, giving them meals three to five times a week. Parents also learn how to affordably prepare nutritious meals for their children.
