Quiz: Are you smarter than a 6th grader?

Summer in the U.S. is winding down, and kids are starting to head back to school with their new clothes and backpacks full of supplies. (New crayons! Fresh notebooks! So many new pencils to sharpen!)

Have you ever wondered what our sponsored kids learn in their classrooms? We did, too! So, we got our hands on some sixth-grade geography and history tests from a public school in Kolkata, India.

Put yourself back in the classroom and test yourself on these topics by taking the following quiz. (And, remember: Googling the answers will earn you a big, fat F!)

Many of our internationally sponsored kids are also headed back to school at this time of year — like those in the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico and Zambia. As you know, education is a key factor in breaking the cycle of poverty. And thanks to awesome people like you, most of these kids will receive new school supplies, too (plus tutoring for kids who need a little extra help with their homework)!
