Power of ONE: Giving kids in poverty a chance

Having grown up in Guatemala, Care Team Ambassador Carol Isbel says she’s seen the poverty firsthand. “It’s very ‘in your face,’” she explains.

That’s why she feels so fortunate — and excited — about helping kids living in pretty harsh conditions. “It’s important to have these programs,” Carol says. “We’re helping these kids who seriously wouldn’t have another chance otherwise.”

The Guatemala native now lives in Kansas City, Missouri, with her husband and her two sons, who she describes as “the joy of our family.”
