For nearly 90 years, Children International has been helping underserved children and families around the world. What began as a one-room medical clinic in 1936 has flourished into a global child and youth development organization, assisting more than 200,000 kids annually. We are a top-rated, secular and non-political institution focused on ending generational poverty through a proven approach.
The scope and impact of our work is only possible through the collective power of generous supporters and caring volunteers who offer their financial backing, their time and their talents to our mission: Connecting people around the world in the fight to end poverty.
Our programs create a solid foundation for children through access to health care, educational assistance and youth development programs that prepare young people to secure employment as young adults. This long-term, proven approach gives children and teens the opportunities they need to create brighter futures for themselves, their families and their communities.

Children International has numerous opportunities for employers and Employee Resource Groups to offer meaningful engagement between us and their employees. Our staff are available to host in-person events with employees; these offerings are also available virtually or via a hybrid approach.
The examples below are illustrative of the annual impact of monetary donations to specific causes:
Health
$120 ($10/month) can ensure six Filipino children receive primary medical care - or $50/month can enroll four Zambian children in nutrition rehabilitation.
Education
$2,500 ($208/month) is enough to provide 16 children and youth in Guatemala with access to STEM activities.
Empowerment
$1,100 ($92/month) can enroll five young Colombians in our music program, designed to boost important life skills.
Employment
$6,600 (550/month) can enroll 12 young adults in Honduras in marketable workforce development training and job-placement support.
We offer a variety of options for employees to volunteer their time in support of our life-changing work:
Write a letter of support and encouragement to one of our thousands of young people around the globe participating in the Into Employment® Program. Youth who receive these letters have told us how motivating they can be, boosting their self-esteem and morale, and making them feel part of a greater global community.
Our Into Employment® Program is a vital last step in preparing youth for prosperous, sustainable employment in their local job markets. We do this through:
Write a motivational letter to a youth living in poverty, letting them know you care about them and wish them the best on their journey. We often hear that receiving these letters is incredibly inspiring for them as they strive to achieve a better future.
Create fun bookmarks encouraging young children to read. Your colorful and inspiring works of art will then be available to children and families when they visit our community center libraries.
Donate your valuable time by offering your expertise through a pro-bono project that helps our children, youth and communities — whether that is participating in a Hackathon, co-creating something new with our teams, or another project idea you have. This is a great way to have a big impact!
