From early childhood through young adulthood, Path of Opportunity™ helps children at every stage of life build the skills, confidence and support systems they need to shape their futures.
At this stage, children are discovering the world around them. Pathways help them build confidence, strengthen early learning skills, and prepare for school, while supporting caregivers with tools that nurture their children’s growth.
As children move from early learning into school, Pathways help strengthen foundational reading, writing and math skills while learning to manage emotions, make healthy choices and work with others. They begin to recognize their potential and imagine who they can become.
Through Pathways, young people build confidence, positive identities and a stronger sense of belonging. They develop leadership, social-emotional and practical skills that help them navigate challenges, thrive in school and begin imagining a bright future.
As they prepare for adulthood, Pathways help young people receive education guidance, career counseling, health support and opportunities to lead and serve. They gain the knowledge and confidence to make informed choices and begin shaping their plans for the future.
As young people enter adulthood, Pathways help turn confidence into action, preparing for meaningful work, sustainable wages and long-term stability. Through education, skills training, employment pathways and goal setting, they can build toward the larger promise of economic independence.
Gabriela is a 16-year-old youth and lives in Colombia. She used to freeze at the thought of speaking in front of a group, shrinking into the back of the room and hoping no one noticed her. Through Path of Opportunity™, she found real tools to manage her nerves and the courage to stand up and present in front of her peers. Now at university, she gives presentations with confidence that once felt impossible.
“It helps me control my nerves and face new situations with greater confidence and calmness.”
