Andrés Rosero
CI field reporter - Quito, Ecuador

Every time I visit the communities where CI kids live, I feel nostalgic and excited to be able to spend time with boys and girls who remind me of my childhood. (I, too, played soccer in the streets with two rocks as makeshift goalposts.) Being a part of CI and telling the stories of our children and youth is very gratifying and, without a doubt, makes me a better person. I like to be original and very helpful. I love being at home with my family — my motivation and inspiration in life.

Check out my stories below!

Volunteer work I do:
My cousins and I go out into the streets three to four times a year to feed bread and oatmeal to the homeless.

My favorite quote:
“It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important.” Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, from "The Little Prince"
