KANSAS CITY, Mo. (May 28, 2026) — Children International earned an Award of Excellence from the 32nd Annual Communicator Awards for its public service announcement, “Join the Journey.” The award is the competition’s highest honor and recognizes excellence in marketing and communications. The global nonprofit’s creative work appears alongside award-winning entries from The Walt Disney Company, PepsiCo, Netflix, Apple and NASA.
The PSA was filmed in Guatemala, in partnership with local families who participate in Children International programs, the Children International Guatemala staff and the advertising agency Moore. The video highlights how the global nonprofit helps children and youth in 10 countries build pathways out of poverty – through access to education, health care, life skills and employment opportunities.
“This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the voices and experiences of the children, families and communities we serve,” said Stacy H. The Communicator Awards is one of the largest and most competitive global awards programs recognizing excellence in communication across industries, and celebrating work that elevates storytelling, strategy and impact.
The awards program received more than 3,000 entries this year from agencies, production studios, nonprofit organizations, communications teams and global brands. Entries were judged by more than 1,100 industry leaders, including JPMorgan, Chase & Co., FedEx, the National Geographic Society and the NAACP.
Award of Excellence recipients represent the highest-scoring entries in the competition and are recognized for exceptional quality and impact in communication and creative work.
