Strategic partnership with Rightpoint redefines the giving process through a complete digital transformation

Kansas City, MO (May 10, 2018) Children International’s website (children.org) has won the People’s Voice Award for Best Website in the Charitable Organizations/Non-Profit category in the 22nd Annual Webby Awards. Children International partnered with customer experience agency Rightpoint to redefine donor relationships and increase digital engagement by transforming the online giving experience.

“Our goal with the new website was to make sure we were creating the best experience possible for our supporters,” said Emily Eakes, Children International’s Art Director. “We wanted to build a real bond between our contributors and the children we serve through powerful storytelling and a great digital experience. With Rightpoint’s help, we were able to reimagine the website in a way that allowed us to deliver on these goals, and we are thrilled that the website has now received the distinction of ‘best of the Internet’ by winning a Webby Award.”

Hailed as the “Internet’s highest honor” by The New York Times, The Webby Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), is the leading international awards organization honoring excellence on the Internet. IADAS, which nominates and selects The Webby Award Winners, is comprised of digital industry experts, including Lyft CEO Logan Green, Girls Who Code Founder Reshma Saujani, Gimlet Media CEO Alex Blumberg, Instagram’s Eva Chen, CNN host Van Jones, Internet inventor Vint Cerf, and Playmatics CEO Margaret Wallace.

“Children International’s website has set the standard for innovation and creativity on the Internet,” said Claire Graves, Executive Director of The Webby Awards. “This award is a testament to the skill, ingenuity, and vision of its creators.”

“A nonprofit needs to have compelling storytelling and offer a clear understanding of how and where donations will be used,” said Anamika Lasser, SVP of Design and Strategy at Rightpoint. “We wanted to reflect Children International’s work and bring its mission to life to offer transparency with the resources needed for each child. We reimagined the website to modernize the process of sponsoring children in a digital age, and we’re proud to see it recognized by the Webby Awards.”

Rightpoint and Children International’s collaboration on the new website will be honored at the star-studded Webby Awards ceremony on Monday, May 14, 2018, at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.
