Children International, a $100 million international humanitarian organization, is seeking a seasoned, visionary, senior executive leader ready to make a difference, multiply good in the world and help change the course of history.
Our vision is to bring people together to end generational poverty through programs focused on health, education, empowerment through life skills and, ultimately, employment. A unique, long-term, customized approach, this allows us to stay with our children for the first two decades of their lives.
Today, Children International directly invests in more than 200,000 children and youth through 13 agencies in 10 countries around the world.
Our work is made possible by generous and caring sponsors, donors, corporations, more than 8,000 dedicated volunteers and approximately 1,500 employees. To ensure our programs give children the best possible chance of breaking the poverty cycle, we are elevating our end-to-end systems, operations, and our practices for growing our talent worldwide. That is where you come in.
The Director of Child/Family and Sponsor Connections reports to the VP of Global Programs and Operations and is accountable for building the global engagement system that supports sponsor connections as well as child/family connections globally. This role will serve as a center of excellence for engagement practices as well as the global facilitator of two-way, end-to-end connections with sponsors and children/youth/families. In addition, this position will partner with the agencies and IT in the tools used for successful end-to-end engagement.
This role will partner closely with Fundraising to manage the end-to-end process of sponsor connections. In addition, this role will be a key partner with the agencies in connecting families to community resources and programs and seeking increased family engagement and program participation. This role will ensure the timely collection of sponsor connection requirements globally and will be a key participant in the initiative to increase sponsor retention.
This position is critical to the future of Children International and provides an exciting opportunity to transition our approach and tools for engagement for all stakeholders end-to-end to create long term relationships for greater impact in line with the mission of CI.
We are looking for a passionate advocate for children and an innovator for engagement who can lead and coach the transition to, and development of, novel approaches to the traditional sponsorship requirement fulfillment process. Top candidates will be exemplary communicators, with a background in marketing and connection approaches and an understanding of both child/family and sponsor engagement needs.
