Each day presents an opportunity to learn, contribute and collaborate - whether from interactions with a parent in a nutrition class, a child learning about saving and budgeting, a teacher training to be better at her role, a government physician talking about health service delivery gaps, or a youth sharing her experiences of trying to land her first job. In these interactions, we can meet needs because of the tremendous support of our donors. Ensuring that impoverished children have the tools to fulfill their potential is no easy feat, but with the tireless dedication of our partners and supporters, we are helping Filipino families move past poverty.”

“When you are shackled by poverty, mere survival is the only choice. When I rendered volunteer services in the Youth Program and currently as a staff, I found my greatness. There's also greatness in helping and empowering the youth. The work I do gives me the opportunity to give the love and mentoring they need. And there is nothing more fulfilling than to be an inspiration to others.”

Gerardo lost his arm in an industrial accident while saving a coworker’s life. Father to three kids, he volunteers in Quezon City.
