
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (November 5, 2025) – Children International today announced the appointment of Eric Howell, a seasoned financial and operations leader, as Chief Financial Officer. Howell brings more than three decades of experience in guiding expansive, mission-driven enterprises to the global nonprofit.
As CFO, Howell will lead Children International’s global finance and analytics teams, overseeing financial strategy, fiscal accountability and data-driven insights to ensure the organization’s continued strength and long-term sustainability.

Howell’s career spans the U.S., Eastern Europe, Central Asia and East Asia, reflecting both his technical excellence and a commitment to cross-cultural leadership. Before joining Children International, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Save the Children US; Chief Financial Officer at Chemonics International; and, most recently, as CFO/COO at Resonance, a global consultancy firm.
