About Children International

Children International is a nonprofit humanitarian organization working to eradicate poverty around the world. At CI, we believe that ending poverty starts with children. Without help, children in poverty become adults in poverty. Our vision is to bring people together to put an end to that through programs focused on health, education, empowerment through life skills and, ultimately, employment. Ours is a unique, long-term, customized approach that allows us to stay with our children for the first two decades of their lives. We’re in it for the long haul because we know that the 200,000 children we support in 10 countries around the world deserve a fighting chance.

Children International’s work is made possible by generous and caring sponsors, donors, corporations, more than 9,000 dedicated volunteers and approximately 1,600 employees. To ensure our programs give children the best possible chance of breaking the poverty cycle, we are elevating our practices for growing our people talent worldwide. That’s where you come in.

POSITION SUMMARY

As National Director of Corporate and Foundation Partnerships, you report to the Vice President of Marketing and Global Philanthropy. You will work directly with staff leadership and high-level board members and volunteers to map relationships, create strategic plans for cultivation and engagement, and leverage your networks to increase support for Children International. You will also work collaboratively throughout the organization to identify and optimize opportunities to support current and new programs. In your first six months, you will develop a five-year strategic plan for corporate and foundation engagement and lead the execution of this plan, ultimately contributing to impact around the world.

The National Director of Corporation and Foundation Partnerships will build this new discipline/department to expand resources that come from: corporate foundation grants, cause marketing, employee engagement/workplace giving, gift-in-kind donations/services, social impact investing and other opportunities. A successful candidate will follow proven identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship techniques to manage and grow a robust pipeline for current and future engagement. You will be responsible for building a portfolio of high-capacity partnerships and exploring a range of engagement opportunities.

We are an adaptable organization looking for an adaptable leader
As National Director of Corporate and Foundation Partnerships, you join a team of mission-driven employees and volunteers around the world committed to evolving and transforming as the needs of the children and families we serve also evolve. As the new national partnerships leader, you play a key role in delivering greater impact today and in the future.

Are you collaborative, influential and known for your integrity?
A skilled collaborator, you build trusting relationships and are able to influence key internal and external partners. Your leadership, drive, fundraising and philanthropy expertise and partnership building skills take our funding practices to new heights. As an extraordinary thought leader, people leader and a savvy fundraiser, you are a passionate advocate for children and an ethical owner of our cause.

Are you a visionary leader ready to influence great change?
As National Director of Corporate and Foundation Partnerships, you play an important role in helping to shape the future of Children International and are ready to step up to this rewarding challenge. Your greatest intrinsic reward will be in the eyes of the youth who graduate from our program, equipped and empowered to be positive agents of change in their communities.
