The Children International® Youth Program is designed to give sponsored youth the tools to make informed decisions and to better themselves, their families and communities.
The Youth Report Card is an excellent resource to better understand the life-changing benefits of our youth programs.
Worldwide, 12- to 19-year-olds face unique challenges. For many, the paths they choose during this time become the direction for the rest of their lives. Youth who grow up around poverty where opportunities are lacking often find negative influences to fill the void.
Children International's youth programs are designed to give these amazing youth positive choices.
- The HOPE (Helping Overcome Poverty through Education)
scholarship gives students who wish to continue their academic career a chance to attend university or trade school.
- YHC or Youth Health Corps
trains sponsored youth to become peer educators. These impassioned young teachers share their knowledge about sanitation, hygiene, reproductive health and AIDS with other youth.
- International Youth Conference (IYC)
brings together Children International's most dedicated sponsored youth from around the world for a stateside leadership summit.
- International Youth Day (IYD)
is an annual event hosted by the United Nations. Our most talented and dedicated youth leaders participate. They strive to raise international awareness for those living in poverty.
- The Youth Report Card
is a report that includes the results of a survey we give to sponsored youth graduating from our program.
- Youth Empowerment Fund is used exclusively for development activities and community projects that are identified and implemented by democratically elected youth in 16 program locations. The Youth Empowerment Fund is designed to encourage these young people to become positive agents of change in their communities.
