The United Nations invites three sponsored youth to attend
International Youth Day 2007

Three members of the Children International® Youth Program are seen and heard as they are named Attendees at the United Nations’ International Youth Celebration!

The following Youth Attendees are also officers in their local Youth Councils:

Leslie Mae Apuli from the Philippines
Telma García from Guatemala
Vakeyia from the United States

International Youth Day, an annual event held at the United Nations on August 12, is aimed at recognizing the positive contributions of youth and discovering ways to engage them in bettering their communities in the global society. Our youth will join other teens from around the world at this special United Nations youth event in a continuing effort to affect change in their homelands.

This year’s theme is “Be Seen, Be Heard: Youth Participating for Development.”

Check back here for regular updates on all three participants as they gear up for this exciting journey.
