Starting from childhood, we empower youth to forge a path out of poverty, equipping them with education, skills and resources they need to achieve sustainable employment and strengthen their communities.
We’re a top-rated global nonprofit that believes in fostering collaborative empowerment when it comes to shifting the trajectory for children and youth who live in poverty. By partnering with supporters of all kinds, surrounding the youth in our programs with a supportive environment, and equipping them with life and job skills that can help them sustain employment, we are helping them forge a path out of poverty that can also create generational change.
A primary vehicle for supporting the children and youth enrolled in our program is through sponsorship. When you sponsor a child, your consistent commitment helps meet their daily needs, fosters their focus on education and sustainable work, and helps them realize brighter futures. As they achieve some of the goals our program gives them the confidence to pursue, your sponsorship yields a multiplier effect — improving the lives of their families, their communities, and ultimately, their local economies.
Your support of our programming ensures that the children and youth we serve receive access to health care resources, social and educational programs that instill confidence and empowerment, and life skills and job skills training that can benefit them for a lifetime. Our long-term commitment (from ages 2 to 24) helps them overcome challenges that give them the best chance to become healthy, educated and productive adults.

We’re constantly striving to use your funds responsibly and efficiently. In FY 2024, 80% of Children International’s total operating expenses fund programs for children and youth. So, the majority of your donation dollars go toward exactly what you intended — supporting children in poverty.
Child sponsorship is a voluntary, ongoing contribution you can cancel at anytime — you’re in charge of how long you sponsor (and how many kids you sponsor).
You can make changes to your monthly giving anytime. Please contact our Care Team to adjust, delay, or cancel. And because of our on-going commitment to our children from the time of sponsorship through graduation, your child will continue to receive benefits from the program, and we will work to find them another sponsor as soon as possible.
