| Twice each year our internal auditors visit the field offices to perform financial audits. In addition, staff members from our headquarters conduct financial and program reviews. All of these individuals visit a number of children to ensure that they are receiving benefits as promised to our sponsors. |

* Children International ensures the accountability of each international agency office through extensive financial reporting and reviews, including semiannual internal audits by Children International CPAs.
* We also hire independent CPA firms in each country to conduct semiannual external audits of all agency offices.
* Members of our Program Services Department in Kansas City travel to our agencies regularly to conduct on-site reviews of current operations and the use of contributions. They spend time interviewing sponsored children and their families and visiting schools, medical centers and other facilities to ensure that sponsored children are receiving needed benefits and services.
