When a child receives the gift of sponsorship, he or she becomes part of a vast network of resources, meaning lots of people are watching out for him or her. Doctors. Teachers. Our field project staff. Mothers of other sponsored children in the community. Volunteers who know the families and their children.
And of course, the sponsor. Everyone working to make sure each child receives the most out of sponsorship, that his or her individual needs are addressed and that each child has the opportunity to be nurtured and to prosper.
Because each child interacts with someone who knows his or her family and personal situation, it makes it easy to have a lasting impact on that child. And what's even more wonderful is that it's so personal. A sponsor isn’t just supporting a cause he or she believes in – but supporting an individual child. |
