A Message from the President of To Zambia with Love

Growing up, I was told to eat my peas because there were starving children in Africa. I never understood the connection of how my eating peas could actually save a life.

Children International has opened up a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in children’s lives that for me is both tangible and manageable.

With regular gifts of just $22 a month, I am sponsoring Mercy Phiri. I know that this one gem has a chance to sparkle in the world and that great things may come to her through the opportunity I am able to help create.

In Zambia the infant mortality rate is 18.2%. Our mission is to empower individuals to make a difference both through one-on-one child sponsorship and through direct donations to help build community centers where many children may receive much-needed medical care, dental care, immunizations, books to read, and a safe environment for learning.
