Who is a Friend?
A Friend is a sponsor or donor who advocates for Children International, and belongs to a
Friends Group.
What is a Friends Group?
A sponsor or a group of sponsors who want to share their sponsorship experience with others and raise awareness about Children International. Friends want to learn more about the countries and cultures where their children live. They may wish to expose themselves to group travel to visit their sponsored child and see the work of our agencies in the field.
What does a Friends Group do?
A Friends Group helps raise funds for Children International to reach out to more impoverished children.
How do I become a Friend of Children International?
Register in the Advocate Center at www.children.org and agree to the Terms and Conditions
of Friends Groups.
How do I organize a Friends Group in my city?
After you have registered as a Friend of Children International, guidelines for Friends Groups meetings are provided in the Advocate Center.

How do Friends Groups make donations?
Donations are made by check payable to “Children International” and mailed to
Children International – Development

Are donations tax-deductible?
For United States residents, your donation made to Children International is tax-deductible. Children International is a 501 (C)(3), nonprofit organization.
Will I receive a tax receipt for my donation?
Yes. Your receipt will be sent to the return address on your check donation.

What is Circle of Friends?
Our Circle of Friends includes any dedicated sponsor who is an advocate for Children International.
Will my Friends Groups’ donations really help?
Yes, sponsorship changes lives every day. Donations from Friends Groups are a step beyond. They provide help that sponsorship alone cannot accomplish. Friends Groups make lasting change possible in communities where hope is a rare commodity.
